Super Scam Cybersmart

 In Te Ngahere we have been learning about scams and phishing. Scamming is something where people send an email or something saying CONGRATS YOU HAVE JUST WON A FREE PS5 WITH A TV AND A PS5 FREE GIFT CARD ALL WE NEED IS YOUR EMAIL PASSWORD AND CREDIT CARD NUMBER CLICK HERE. Phishing is close to scamming people just make a website or pop up and say WE HAVE DETECTED A VIRUS DOWNLOAD THIS or FREE SONGS JUST SIGN IN HERE GOOGLE EMAIL: GOOGLE PASSWORD:.for this activity we had to make a copy of a Google slide and there will be a picture and we had to figure out if it was legit or fake and why we think that. I thought that the activity was really fun and I also learnt lots from it. I thought that our activity was pretty hard because it was hard to find the clues.

Super Science

 In Te Ngahere we went to the Bay Of Islands college. We went there to do the science Roadshow. We had to go into a room and sit down. Then we saw two scientists that were going to show us about the different types of gases. After that we had to go into groups of three then we could go to any of the science  experiments. there was a really interesting science project where you had to put a small ball into a tube and then lift something and then the ball shot out at a target. My favorite thing was a really fun electricity quiz.In the electricity quiz you had a question where you had to hold the button next to it and the button next to the answer.

Super Island Song

 In Te Ngahere the year 6’s went to Urupukapuka. We were trying to bring back all the native birds and kill all the pests. We had to get at school at least under 8:30 because that is when we were going to leave. We had to walk all the way to the wharf and hop on a big boat. We brought things like plants and trap pieces and almost everyone had a job but I didn’t. Before we went on the boat our bags had to get cheeked incase we were hiding any rats or pests. When we got on the boat we got given a clipboard a activity book and a pen or pencil. We also had to look out for some different animals flying over the sea. I sat with one of my best friends Jesse. We looked out the window of the boat and we saw some stingrays. We stopped at one island and we saw some baby birds. Then we moved on. When we got to the island we sat down and had morning tea. After that we had to split into 2 groups. My group was gardening we had to go and take the most EXHAUSTING walk up a BIG hill and over a fence. We also had to bring some plants with us.  We went to a place where we had to do the gardening. We had to dig Up the grass and then dig a big hole in the dirt and put the plant in then we had to cover the plant and say a prayer it was pretty fun.Then we had to go back. Lucky we didn’t have to go up the hill we took a nice walk up a track. In the track we saw one fantail and TWO SADDLEBACKS they’re my favorite bird. We all had to carry something and I carried a spayde. When we got back we switched activities. This time we were making rat traps. We had to get in groups of three. We had a screwdriver a bunch of screws and a few pieces of traps. When we built it we had to design it. After that we had a check at a house we saw dogs and a bird house. When we got back we had to leave. We also saw some snapper. We hoped on the boat and left when we left we saw some Bottlenose Dolphins.

Awesome P.E

 In Te Maunga and Te Ngahere we have been doing P.E rotations. We had to get in our house groups and line up. Then we had to go with one teacher that would do a different activity. We had a few different activities to do. We could do Skills, Soccer, Touch or Netball. I really enjoyed doing these PE activity and I thought it was very fun. Basically for the skills activity we were just doing some fun and activities like getting in a circle and practising throwing and catching balls when we did a hole loop we stepped back a bit and repeated the cycle.

The Awesome Narrative

 In Te Ngahere we have been doing narrative writing. We had to write a story that was made up about anything we want. I wrote about a haunted house I still haven't finished but it is really fun to do. First we had to write a plan for out narrative when we were writing we could not redo our plan. We had to make sure we had a good amount of detail in our narrative writing. I did a lot of writing and I found my writing very fun to read. Also when the writing time was over we had to go to a buddy and share our writing.

super cyber smart

 In Te Ngahere we have been doing a fun thing called cyber smart. For this activity we had to make a google drawing and then use the shapes tool to make fish. We made fish because we were learning to use the shapes to explain something in a fun and creative way I found this activity really interesting and fun because we were doing something better than work. I learnt the cool things I can 

make with one tool. I think this activity was very fun

I hope we could do it again. I really did well in making the fish.

The Excellent Epro8

 In Te Ngahere we have been doing a thing called Epro8. Epro8 is all about measurement. The last Epro8 we had to try make a catapult with 30 sticks, 30 rubber bands, some tape, a piece of a4 and a3 pieces of paper. For this we had to watch a video teaching us about different types of energy. We needed to use two types of energy potential energy and kinetic energy. Potential energy is when all the energy is stored inside the energy, kinetic energy is when all the energy moves out. What we did well was planning it. What we didn’t do well was listening to everyone's ideas or trying them. I dont think that I helped much so i’ll do that next time.
