Learning Lichtenstein

 

In Te Ngahere We have been learning about Roy Lichtenstein. He is a famous artist for using ben day dots and bright colors. We had to find six or more facts about him. 

He was born in 1923 in New York, he also made sculptures. He can make things look real from a distance. He was often accused by people saying he copied other comics. We had to read 2 things to get all the facts.   

I found it hard to find all of the facts and I learnt that if you use small dots it looks like another color.

fun fair

 yesterday we went to the fair. First we picked up mavericks friend Amani then we went. When we got there we saw Nana,Koro,Kyra and Dan. first we got some candy floss, then we waited a looooooooooong time in line to go on this trampoline after that we got a snow cone. Then maverick was on the carasel we did this thing where you knock all of the cans over and win a prise (i lost '-') we went back home then Amani had a sleep over. we had butter chiken for dinner.

we had a very cool night.   

marvolus movies

 last week we went to the movies. First we went to spark to see my mum, then i got a haircut, then the movies we watched the dragon rider. It was about a dragon that wanted to go to a better home called the rim of heaven. Then the movie ended and we went back home. It was a cool day and i really enjoied the movie      

cousins come

 this week my cousins came over.We had lots of fun we played on the tramp and we also played on my hover board when it got dark we got takeaways for dinner. Then we played some more. Maverick wanted to watch Spider Man 3 so we did. Then we went up to grandmas to sleep up their. In the morning we went back and played. later that day they had to go.    

Soundscape

This term in Te Maunga we have been learning soundscape. We were learning about violins, Guitar, Piano and others. We made movies with only sound. In my group mine was Manaaki Shivam and I.  Manaaki whistled for birds, Shivam said ALERT! and I punched a cushion for a punch.

Maths Week

Hi my name is Aaron I am a student at Paihia School in Te Maunga. This term we have been doing Maths week. We had to get 4 fake coins and put them all tails. Then we flipped 3 and that counted as 1 turn. We had to find out how many turns it takes to make all coins heads. We did 4 tries. 

Probability

Hi my name is Aaron I am a student at Paihia School in Te Maunga. This term we have been learning probability. I learnt that when you roll 2 dice you´ll mostly roll 7 because there's lots of ways to make it like 1 and 6,4 and 3 or 5 and 2 .
