Cyber Safety

 Hi my name is Aaron i am from Paihia School and i am a year 5. In Te maunga we have been learning cyber safety. We learnt not to friend random people and dont send private info.

In Te Maunga we made collage art. Collage is something where you get magazines and rip them into small pieces and then we stick on a piece of paper with PVA glue.We made it because we read a book Battle of the Mountains. Our class is called Te Maunga so this is why we did it.

Kindness

In Te Maunga we have been writing kindness letters to the people that have not had anyone to talk to. I wrote about what I did in lockdown and what to do to keep active in lockdown.

viruses

This week we have been learning about viruses, bacteria and fungi.  We made a google drawing about them all and what they can do.  I learnt that fungi makes your milk turn into yogurt and puts fizz into your drinks

Water Cycle

Last week we made water cycle, art.  We had to draw lightly with a pencil then we coloured it.  I found out there are four steps in the water cycle, evaporation, condensation, precipitation and collection.

Koru Paterns

We did koru and kowhaiwhai patterns. A hammer head means strength. My koru art is about my family.

actonworld

Yesterday we went to actonworld wen we got there we ate.  After that the girls went on the water slide and boys played.  When it was boys turn on the slide I went on once and then played mini golf.  On golf we got up to the Grand Canyon in hole 16 par 4 then we had to leave. I had lots of fun on leap and bounce,type rope,the water slide, the wobbling ladder and jousting.
